Light, Medium and Heavy Duty Towing
Our experienced and skilled tow operators are equipped to tow everything from a small scooter to large boats. The response is always efficient and is based on what the client’s needs are. Provide all the details over the phone and a tow operator will arrive with the appropriate equipment to handle your situation. We would not use a heavy duty
flatbed truck
to tow a motorcycle, unless that is what you specifically ask for. We are fortunate to have ten trucks within our fleet: three are for
light duty, six are for
medium duty
and one is designated for heavy duty tows. Each tow truck is outfitted with the best in class of safety equipment and damage free transport devices. The size of our fleet makes it possible to be in multiple locations simultaneously.
Flatbed Towing
Instead of connecting your vehicle to the tow truck and pulling it down major roads and highways, flatbed tow trucks have the capacity to lift your vehicle onto a steel bed for safe and worry free transport. Basic towing has the propensity to allow the towed vehicle to sway in the wind and the lane to become compromised. This is hazardous for both the towed vehicle, and oncoming traffic as well as the cars around it on the roadway. Due to the sheer velocity of the tow truck, small pebbles and debris have a tendency to get swept under the truck and carried up and over the towed vehicle. Sometimes rocks and other debris can damage your paint surface or windows causing marring, scratches, dings and cracks. Flatbed towing eliminates these problems and is simply safer way to tow.
Medium duty towing means that we proper trucks and equipment with the capacity to tow diesel pickup trucks, small buses, campers and other medium duty trucks similar in size and weight. If you are stranded on the highway in a medium sized vehicle you can trust that we have a flatbed truck that can adequately handle your towing needs. The family reunion is in Atlanta this year. You had the camper inspected by your favorite mechanic, all of the fluids have been topped off and the family has been all rounded up. As you back the camper down the driveway it cuts off for no apparent reason. You may think that your trip is ruined, but when you have NC Tow Pros Of Cary in your back pocket, it’s only a matter of time before you’re on the way to the nearest shop of your choice and they can up and running again.
Types of Vehicles Towed
Buses, bobtails, garbage trucks, big rigs, motor homes and semi tractor-trailers all require heavy duty towing. Scooters, motorcycles and jet skis are towed with light duty tow trucks. Anything that does not fall in the realm of light or heavy duty is fit for medium duty towing, which s most vehicles. NC Tow Pros Of Cary has ten tow trucks within its fleet. We have three light duty trucks, six medium duty tow trucks and one heavy duty truck to handle all of your towing and winching needs. Wench outs are one of our specialties. Contact us with the make and model of your vehicle and our knowledgeable dispatchers will be able to ask the right questions to determine the appropriate sized tow truck for your needs.

If the vehicle’s axle is broken or you have extensive tire damage, a flatbed truck is the only way it can be towed. Typically we recommend our callers with luxury vehicles use flatbed towing because the damage to paint, bumpers and windows are minimized. Flatbed towing is the safest way to tow overall and protect your assets. Traditional towing requires that we chain your vehicle to the truck and pull it down busy highways and through congested intersections. Meanwhile, the vehicle has the possibility of swaying in the wind and collides with pedestrians and oncoming vehicles. Our light to heavy flatbed tow trucks will lift and transport your vehicle without the wheels even touching the ground.
Benefits of Flatbed Towing
There is very little possibility of damage to your vehicle’s tires or bumpers with
flatbed towing. Traditional towing requires that the tow operator hitch the vehicle to the truck while the back half is supported by the rear wheels and pulled through the streets. When the truck hits a bump in the road or pothole, the towed vehicle may collide with the truck.
Flatbed towing minimizes the potential for damage to the transmission, ignition and engine. Your vehicle is strapped to an iron bed and transported to your preferred location. This technique reduces the damage that can occur during traditional towing. It should be noted with traditional pulls or tows, small pebbles and other flying debris can travel under the truck, up and around your vehicle, potentially impacting your paint surface and windows. This is why we highly recommend flatbed tows.
Weather Conditions
Due to the fact that we offer winch out services, generally there is no weather condition that will prevent us from assisting you. Our trucks are impervious to rain, sleet, snow, hail and ice. The position and location of your vehicle is a more important factor. If your vehicle has careened into a ditch or is stuck in the middle of I-40 during rush hour traffic, this is when we have to become extremely strategic in our rescue efforts. Our heavy duty
winch can pull a camper out of a deep ditch. Your back yard may have flooded from heavy rains, preventing you for moving your car onto the pavement, not to worry, because the winching mechanism operates safely in the rain.
Luxury Vehicles
The enhanced safety of flatbed
towing makes transporting luxury vehicles more hazard free. You don’t have to worry about small pebbles and other debris impacting your windows and paint. Today’s ceramic coatings can only protect your paint so much. When your car is strapped to a flat steel bed, you don’t have to concern yourself with the wind and how it can shift towed vehicles into oncoming traffic and pedestrians like during traditional tow efforts. Although there are added benefits when using flatbed towing, the pricing is not identical to traditional towing. Upon conducting a cursory evaluation, you will discover that our flatbed towing services are priced below market value.
Types of Vehicles Towed
NC Tow Pros Of Cary is equipped to tow any type of vehicle. Within our fleet we have light,
medium and heavy duty trucks. This means we can tow anything from a tiny Vespa to a huge tour bus. There is no limit to our towing capacity, and we are and outstanding local provider. Although we are independently owned and operated, we decided very early that to be the best, we had to reinvest back into our business. Our goal is to operate efficiently and swiftly. And always take good care of people! We can only do that if we have the appropriate equipment and manpower to get the job done, and get it completed right. If you have an uncommon vehicle that needs towing or winching, contact us for a phone assessment,
24-hours a day.
Move Over Law
North Carolina's Move Over law protects State Troopers and other law enforcement officers and emergency and utility workers stopped along side our highways.
The Highway Patrol has taken steps to ensure more safety for citizens and troopers. In January, 2002, the state's Move Over law took effect requiring motorists, if they can safely do so, to move one lane away from any law enforcement or other emergency vehicle that is on the side of the highway. This law includes utility vehicles that are on the side of the road restoring electrical service during an unplanned event such as a hurricane or ice storm. The utility vehicles are required to have a flashing amber-colored light. The law requires motorists slow down and approach cautiously when any emergency vehicle is stopped on the shoulder of the roadway with its lights flashing. Motorists are required to move over to another lane away from the emergency vehicle on a multi-lane highway or slow down on a two lane highway and can do so safely. Motorists must slow down while maintaining a safe speed. G.S. 984-205-8885 (f).
A violation of the move over law will result in a mandatory fine of $984-205-8885 plus court costs.

Some police departments own tow trucks, but in the US it is common to contract police tows to private companies. Businesses who operate a large fleet of vehicles, such as school bus companies or package delivery services, often own one or several tow trucks for the purposes of towing their own vehicles, we can generally back up those companies in their time of need. Government departments with large fleets (such as the police departments, fire departments, transportation authorities and departments of public works of major cities) may similarly own tow truck(s). Police department tow trucks may also be used to impound other vehicles. Heavy tow trucks are often called to clear semi truck accidents and straighten out jackknifed trucks. In rural or unorganized areas, companies which operate tow trucks can sometimes also offer additional services appropriate to highway clearance where government-provided ones are unavailable, such as fire suppression. We assist as needed in these types of situations. If your vehicle has been impounded we suggest calling the owner of the property it was towed from to ask where it was towed to.
You should contact NC Tow Pros Of Cary if you want to experience the best in service in our neck of the woods. Most people have no idea what excellence looks like in the form of a towing service, but that is precisely what our company strives for. Once you experience our superior products and services you will not accept anything less. Our company sets the bar within Wake and Chatham Counties.
